You Are the Real Tech, And the Future Has Always Been SoulTech
The Pope finally said it. We've been saying it for five years. Now the whole world needs to hear it.

When you’ve been sounding an alarm for five years and the world finally starts to listen, it’s not a moment of I told you so, it’s a moment of thank goodness, because the hour is here.
For five years, I have been speaking, writing, and building around a warning that most people didn’t want to hear: that the greatest crisis triggered by the rise of artificial intelligence wouldn’t be about data, jobs, or even democracy. It would be a mental health and spiritual crisis, a profound loss of purpose, meaning, and identity for millions of human beings who defined themselves by what they did, not who they are.
That is why we founded the SoulTech Foundation. That is why I wrote the books. That is why I stood on every stage I could find and talked about consciousness, not code.
“The future is not artificial. It is SoulTech. And the most powerful technology on the planet has always been you.”
What the Pope just said, and why it matters
On May 25, 2026, Pope Leo XIV released his first papal encyclical, one of the most authoritative documents a pope can issue, titled Magnifica Humanitas, which translates to “Magnificent Humanity.” In a sweeping 42,000-word document, he called on the world to “disarm” artificial intelligence, to strip it of military power, corporate monopoly, and the unchecked ability to erode human dignity.
He called AI “a new form of colonial dominion.” He warned that Big Tech is concentrating power in the hands of a very few, and that our data, our health profiles, our genetic maps, our demographic fingerprints, have become “the new rare earths of power.” He framed this moment as a choice between building a new Tower of Babel or building a world where God and humanity dwell together.
He used the word disarm deliberately. Provocatively. Because this moment demands it.
Now, I want to be clear about something. I agree that guardrails are absolutely necessary. And I deeply honor the moral weight of this statement from the Vatican. But here is the truth that every conscious leader must reckon with: you cannot stop capitalism when the AI arms race is on. The competitive pressure, the geopolitical stakes, the trillions of dollars flowing into this technology, no encyclical, no regulation, no Senate hearing will slam the brakes on that momentum in time.
So what can we do? What is actually within our power?
“We can raise our consciousness. And that changes everything.”
SoulTech was always the answer
When we founded SoulTechFoundation.org, we weren’t waiting for the crisis to arrive. We were already in the solution. The entire framework of SoulTech — raising human consciousness through events, education, the arts, technology, and community, was built in direct response to where we saw AI taking humanity.
Here’s what I’ve known for years and what I want you to really absorb today: you are the real tech. Your intuition, your empathy, your creativity, your capacity for love, your ability to make meaning out of suffering- none of that can be automated. None of it can be replicated. And none of it can be taken from you, unless you forget you have it.
That forgetting is the real crisis. Not the robots. The disconnection from self. The outsourcing of our purpose to systems that have no soul. The slow erosion of our confidence in our own sacred humanity.
Raising your consciousness is not a luxury in the age of AI. It is the most radical act of resistance available to you. It is also the most profound form of innovation. A highly conscious human being does not compete with AI, they command it. They use it as a tool in service of their vision, their values, their community.
That is what SoulTech has always been about. Leveraging technology for humanity, not being run by technology and its corporate overlords.

The mental health crisis is not coming, it is here
The Pope’s encyclical speaks of “labor displacement” and “the erosion of human dignity.” What those clinical phrases really mean is this: when people lose their jobs to AI, when automation renders entire industries obsolete overnight, when the thing someone spent 20 years building their identity around simply… disappears — that is a soul wound.
I have been saying this for five years. We built the SoulTech Foundation because we knew this moment was coming for underserved communities first and hardest. People who never had the luxury of a safety net. People whose dignity was already fragile, whose options were already limited. AI will not discriminate, it will displace, and the most vulnerable will bear the sharpest edge of that blade.
The answer has never been to fight the technology. The answer has always been to go deeper into what makes us irreducibly human. Consciousness. Purpose. Connection. Creativity. Soul.
Before AI, there was SoulTech
I want you to sit with that for a moment.
Before the world was debating prompts and parameters, before every brand slapped “AI-powered” on their website, before the Vatican had to issue a 42,000-word document about machines and human dignity- we were already in the work.
We were already building frameworks for consciousness-first living. We were already gathering communities to talk about technology, purpose, and what it means to be fully human in this era. We were already naming the crisis before it had a name in the mainstream conversation.
That is not a coincidence. That is what happens when you listen to soul before you follow the algorithm.
The future does not belong to those who have the best AI tools. The future belongs to those who are most awake. The most conscious. The most rooted. The most purposeful. Because those are the human beings who will know how to wield this technology wisely, and when to put it down.
