There is a quiet crisis happening in this country.
It doesn’t make headlines.
It doesn’t trend on social media.
And it certainly isn’t being taken seriously in exam rooms across America.
It is the systematic dismissal of women’s health.
And I know this not as theory—but as lived truth.
For ten years, I was told my pain was something else. Stress. Anxiety. Overreaction. Maybe even imagination.
Ten years—until I was finally diagnosed with eleven hernias.
Eleven.
Let that sink in.
Not one doctor thought to look deeper. Not one paused long enough to ask, “What if she’s right?”
And I am not alone.
The Pattern We’re Not Allowed to Name
Women are being gaslit by the very system designed to care for them.
Pain is minimized.
Hormones are misunderstood.
Perimenopause and menopause—phases that affect every single woman—are rarely discussed proactively in medical settings.
Not once, not a single time, did a doctor bring up perimenopause or menopause to me.
Not once.
And yet these are life-altering biological transitions that impact everything from mental health to cardiovascular risk to bone density to cognitive clarity.
Instead, women are handed prescriptions for anxiety.
Or told to “reduce stress.”
Or worse—dismissed entirely.
The truth in women’s health:
Pain is very often outright dismissed or under medicated
It takes 3x as long for a women to be diagnosed for the same issue as a man
Hormones are gravely misunderstood
Menopause is ignored or whispered about
Women pay more for the same services as a man (the pink tax)
And women’s health remains vastly under-researched
This isn’t a gap.
It’s a failure. Women are dying because of it! Or, they will lose years of their life or spend years of their life in bad health.
The Funding Gap That Should Shock You
Here’s a number that should make everyone uncomfortable:
Only a tiny fraction of healthcare research funding is dedicated to women—particularly women over 40.
Just one percent of healthcare research funding is spent on women over 40!
One.
Percent.
That number “leaps” to 5% globally! Oh, yippee. A whole 5%! For the population that will spend nearly half their lives in post-reproductive health stages. We give birth, have our period, experience menopause, and live longer then men. But somehow the still don’t care to treat our health as of equal value.
We are not a niche demographic.
We are half the population.
And yet, we are treated like an afterthought.
When It Becomes Personal
For me, this isn’t just about misdiagnosis.
It’s about loss.
I lost my mother.
I lost my sister.
To a healthcare system that too often dismisses women’s experiences until it is too late.
So this is not an intellectual conversation for me.
It is a line in the sand.
Because at some point, you stop asking:
“Why isn’t anyone fixing this?”
And you start asking:
“What am I going to do about it?”
We Are Done Waiting
We have waited for politicians.
We have waited for large healthcare institutions.
We have waited for funding bodies to care.
And what we’ve received is delay, deflection, and denial.
So we are done waiting.
Introducing the Movement: Her Health Summit
This is why I finally decided to launch the HerHealthSummit.com through my non-profit (the SoulTechFoundation.org, not as another wellness event, but as a national movement.
Because this moment requires more than conversation.
It requires disruption.
The Her Health Summit is built at the intersection of:
Science and holistic practice
Medical research and lived experience
Mind, body, and soul integration
It brings together pioneers in medicine, wellness, psychology, and conscious living to address what has been ignored for generations
But more importantly. it creates a space where women are finally believed.
What Makes This Different
This is not the same old-style speakers or another panel where people politely discuss problems.
This is where we:
Name the truth about women’s health
Challenge outdated medical narratives
Elevate research and solutions
Empower women with community and knowledge of their own bodies
And yes, men are invited too.
Because this is not a “women’s issue.”
This is a human issue.
And progress requires allies.
From Silence to Power
For generations, women have been told to endure.
To push through.
To stay quiet.
To trust systems that have not earned that trust.
That era is over.
We are entering a new chapter, one where women are educated, empowered, and no longer willing to be dismissed.
The Her Health Summit is not just about awareness.
It is about reclaiming authority over our bodies, our health, and our futures.
Ready to learn the art and science of higher consciousness? Then you will want to pre-order my upcoming book: SoulTech: The Art & Science of Higher Consciousnes, already a best-selling new release.
The Bigger Vision
This is bigger than a national event.
This is about shifting an entire paradigm.
A future where:
Women’s pain is investigated, not dismissed
Hormonal health is foundational, not optional
Midlife health is prioritized, not ignored
Research funding reflects reality, not bias
Women’s experience is shared through our post-event research paper.
A future where the next generation of women doesn’t spend ten years fighting to be believed.
