The Next 30 Years CAN Be Your Best. + Before & After Photos Of My Self-Love Journey
Have you lost your sparkle? Are you in need of a physical or emotional refresh? Gosh knows I was. For over a decade, I was secretly miserable. During my depression, I put on a ton of weight, stopped working out, never went anywhere, worked 24/7, and kept my secrets locked in a closet full of shame and guilt. One day, at 50, I decided to kick the door open in and change EVERYTHING.
It was not easy, but it wasn’t as hard as unhappiness. I started with small changes. First, I started drinking water. Then, I started going for short walks in the sunshine. It would be six months before I would have the mojo to go to the gym. Next, I swapped out one meal for a low-cal replacement meal. I continued with small changes, and a little over a year later, I lost my goal weight.
Next, I began to explore art, music, science, and metaphysics again. I went through every decision I ever made to ask what I would do differently. I made a lot of “crazy” new decisions. At one point, I had purple hair and wore a forehead crystal (it was HUGE) all over Austin. I was exploring and finding myself. It freaked out some friends and family, lol.
When I was physically and emotionally healthy, I began shadow work. I used every trigger for growth. Sometimes, I was disappointed to find out how easily I was still triggered by things related to my past pain or thought-habit training. Finally, two years later, my book, Unleash The Empress: Spiritual Health For Life Wealth, was out. It is not my finest writing, but it is a solid plan for anyone needing a life transformation.
I share that slow journey with you because our obsession with makeovers makes it appear magical when, in fact, it is simply practice at better habits. Practice at self-love until it becomes your new normal.

It has been over three years, and my life looks 100% different. My third book comes out soon. It is a bold book on redefining the America Dream. It hit #1 in new releases on Amazon (yay). I am co-hosting a speaking event and book talk for A New American Dream on July 2nd in NYC (details below). Most recently, I started the SoulTech Foundation to help people from underserved communities learn to thrive. Lastly, through the National Institute for Ethics In AI, I am leading the fight for ethics and equality in the design and implementation of AI. Whew.

In the meantime, making small, holistic health and wellness changes can significantly impact. Here are some simple yet effective changes anyone can incorporate into their daily routine:
Physical Health
Daily Movement: Incorporate at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day. This can be a brisk walk, yoga, or a quick home workout.
Hydration: Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Keeping a water bottle with you can help you stay hydrated.
Balanced Diet: Add more whole foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains to your diet. Gradually reduce processed foods and sugary snacks.
Consistent Sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Establish a regular sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time each day.
Mental Health
Mindfulness and Meditation: Spend a few minutes practicing mindfulness or meditation each day to reduce stress and improve focus.
Gratitude Journaling: Write down three things you are grateful for each day. This can boost your mood and overall outlook on life.
Digital Detox: Take regular breaks from screens, especially before bedtime. Designate tech-free times to unwind and relax.
Emotional Health
Positive Relationships: Spend quality time with friends and family. Nurturing positive relationships can improve emotional well-being.
Self-Compassion: Practice self-compassion and kindness. Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding as you would a friend.
Creative Outlets: Engage in creative activities like drawing, writing, or playing music to express yourself and relieve stress.
Environmental Health
Nature Time: Spend time outdoors in nature. Nature can be calming, whether it’s a park, beach, or backyard.
Decluttering: Regularly declutter your living space. A tidy environment can reduce stress and increase productivity.
Sustainable Choices: Make environmentally friendly choices such as reducing plastic use, recycling, and using reusable bags and bottles.
Integrating these small changes into your daily life can gradually build a foundation for long-term health and wellness. The key is consistency and making adjustments that fit your lifestyle. Have an AMAZING week.
Namaste,
Cynthia
