There is a moment, quiet, small, powerful, when a dream takes its first real breath. It does not happen when we think about it. It happens when we dare to begin.
But here is what people rarely talk about: that beginning is often lonely. No cheering crowd. No press releases. No applause. It starts with faith, grit, and a willingness to walk for miles before anyone else can see where you are heading.
My own journey has been just that, quiet and relentless. My dream has always been to raise consciousness, awaken human potential, and help people reclaim their power to live extraordinary lives. That fire inside led me to write three books, become a speaker, and build the SoulTech Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to using the arts, AI, and education to transform lives and communities.
But it took a full year just to get the first three initiatives off the ground:
Upskilling 10,000 Americans in AI Literacy using the first AI teacher
TEDxMizner Blvd, a platform for voices that need to be heard
HER Health Summit, a women’s wellness and empowerment event born from purpose
Dreams take time. They take everything we have.
Some days I work alone. There is no cheer squad. No safety net. Just belief and a whole lot of stubborn hope. I have faced funding battles that would make most people turn back. Grants delayed. Politics behind funding doors. Endless meetings that led nowhere. I even had to relocate the foundation from New York to Florida, a massive pivot that required legal rework, restructuring, and a spiritual reset.
But here is what I have learned on this road:
The dream journey is not for the faint of heart.
It is for the ones who show up tired. The ones who believe before anyone else does. The ones who refuse to let uncertainty win.
And yet it is also beautiful. Because somewhere along the way, you discover who you truly are. You find your voice. Your calling sharpens. You meet your soul in the fire of purpose.
Join me and a powerhouse group of speakers as I host and emcee the TEDx Mizner Blvd event in Boca Raton, Florida. Speakers across AI, spirituality, and health will share disruptive ideas in the Age of AI.
If you are on your own dream journey right now, walking that lonely but sacred road, here are some truths from the battlefield:
Tips for Travelers on the Dream Path
1. Start before you are ready.
Clarity comes from motion, not from waiting for a perfect plan.
2. Build daily courage.
Courage is not a lightning strike. It is a muscle. Act every day, even if it is one step forward.
3. Protect your energy.
Not everyone will cheer for you. Some will not understand. Some will not support. That is okay. Keep your circle small and clean.
4. Expect seasons.
Momentum comes in waves. Winter seasons are not failure. They are preparation.
5. Document the wins.
Keep a faith file. Write down every breakthrough, miracle moment, meaningful message, or kind word. You will need them on hard days.
6. Be endlessly resourceful.
Funding will be slow. Doors will close. But persistence and creativity can kick down any barrier.
7. Keep your why in front of you.
Dreams that come from the soul do not let go. They wake you up. They strengthen you. When things get hard, return to why you began.
The road is long, but it’s worth it.
To those of you building something meaningful, something better, something for humanity, I see you. I honor you. This path is sacred. Walk it with pride and patience. Your purpose is not late. Your dream is not impossible. Your soul knows the way.
Keep building. I am right here with you.
With love,
Cynthia
