AI Is the Ultimate Equalizer: Why the "Cheating" Shame Only Applies to Those Without Resources
From ghostwritten bestsellers and bulk-buy launches to the quiet power of AI tools—how realizing the game is rigged freed me to build authentically in the AI age.

A few years ago, while producing high-profile events in New York City, I got an inside look at how the publishing and celebrity world really works. I was coordinating with famous authors and household-name celebrities. Time and again, the ask came through: Can you buy 10,000 books for the event?
At first, I thought it was about filling seats and creating buzz. But the pattern repeated. These bulk purchases were timed precisely for launch windows. Suddenly, a book would hit the bestseller lists—not purely on organic merit or broad readership, but through coordinated muscle. Many of these “authors” relied heavily on ghostwriters. Their wealth and networks handled the rest: the PR machine, the strategic buys, the optics.
It was eye-opening. The system wasn’t just tilted—it was designed for those who could afford to play at that scale. And the guilt? The moralizing about “authenticity,” “original work,” and “not taking shortcuts”? That seemed reserved for everyone else. Those with resources gamed the system quietly while lecturing the rest of us on integrity.
This realization hit hard, especially coming from my own journey—orphanage and foster care roots, surviving trauma, reclaiming my name after years of aliases and burnout, and writing my memoir Memory Mansion through raw personal truth. It woke me up: When you’re building with limited resources and little institutional support, you have to release the shame programming. Survival and sovereignty demand resourcefulness, not self-sabotage.
AI Changes Everything
Fast forward to today. AI isn’t just another tool—it’s the great equalizer that levels a playing field long dominated by money, connections, and gatekeepers. You no longer need a ghostwriter team or a $10k launch budget to produce professional-grade work. You don’t need a Manhattan PR firm or elite credentials to research deeply, strategize boldly, or create content that moves people.
AI is here to stay. It’s being used powerfully (and sometimes miraculously) by those smart enough to embrace it—amplifying human creativity, accelerating ideas, and democratizing capabilities once hoarded by the few. The same forces that game traditional systems are using AI aggressively. The question for the rest of us isn’t whether to engage with it, but how to use it wisely, ethically, and in service of our highest sovereignty.
As someone building the SoulTech Foundation and programs like AI Literacy for underserved communities, I’ve seen firsthand how this technology empowers those forging paths without inherited advantages. It aligns ancient wisdom with modern capability: witness, discern, co-create.
Tips for Using AI Wisely as Your Career and Business Equalizer
Here’s a practical guide drawn from my own experimentation and work helping others integrate these tools:
Start with Intention, Not Automation Treat AI as a collaborative partner, not a replacement. Begin prompts with your core vision: “Help me expand this idea in my authentic voice as a [your role/identity], blending [specific wisdom traditions or experiences].” This keeps output aligned with your energy and truth.
Master Prompt Engineering as a Superpower Specificity wins. Instead of “Write a chapter,” try: “Draft a 1,200-word section on [topic] for a spiritual futurist audience, incorporating elements of sacred geometry and practical emotional mastery. Use vivid storytelling from real-world events, maintain an empowering tone, and include 3 actionable exercises.” Iterate ruthlessly—refine, combine outputs, and infuse your edits.
Leverage for Research and Synthesis Use AI to rapidly synthesize information across domains (science + spirituality, market trends + personal story). Always cross-verify key facts with primary sources. This is especially powerful for those without research teams or academic access.

Content and Marketing Multiplication Generate drafts for newsletters, social posts, event pitches, or book proposals. Then personalize heavily. AI excels at outlines, headlines, SEO optimization, and even A/B testing ideas. For events like my Her Health Summit, it helps brainstorm speaker angles, sponsor outreach scripts, and multi-channel promo without burnout.
Business and Career Strategy Model scenarios: “Analyze pros/cons of launching [product/offer] targeting [audience] with these constraints.” Use it for competitive analysis, email sequences, or financial projections. Small businesses and solopreneurs gain what used to require consultants.
Creative Amplification with Human Oversight Overcome blank-page syndrome or idea blocks. Generate variations, then select and weave in your lived experience—the part AI can’t replicate. In writing Memory Mansion, this kind of assistance could have eased the load while preserving the soul of the story.
Ethical Guardrails and Verification Disclose AI assistance transparently where it matters (your audience values authenticity). Fact-check rigorously. Avoid over-reliance that dulls your own discernment. Track what feels like true co-creation versus shortcut.
Build AI Literacy as a Core Skill Experiment daily. Tools like Grok, Claude, or others each have strengths—test them. Join or create communities focused on ethical, empowering use. This is non-negotiable for thriving in the AI age.
Protect Your Energy and Sovereignty Set boundaries: Use AI for the draining tasks so you can focus on high-vibration work—deep presence, energy practices, genuine connection. Combine with meditation or chi work for inspired prompts.
Scale Impact for the Underserved Use it to create educational programs, accessible tools, and narratives that uplift. At SoulTech, we’re blending these codes with AI to help more people awaken their highest selves without traditional barriers.
The Path Forward
The old system rewarded those who could buy their way in. AI rewards those willing to learn, adapt, and stay sovereign. Release the guilt narrative—it was never evenly applied anyway. Instead, claim the tools. Build your career, business, book, or movement with clarity and power.
This isn’t about replacing human essence; it’s about freeing it. Ancient consciousness meets exponential technology. For those of us who forged strength through challenge, AI is a natural ally on the path of co-creation.
